I’m a Celeb star Nigel Farage’s mum breaks silence on his naked jungle showers
I’M A Celebrity star Nigel Farage’s mum has today broken her silence on his naked jungle showers.
The 59-year-old has stripped off to shower on I’m A Celeb multiple times, and his naked bum has been shown to viewers on a number of occasions.
A whole host of Nigel’s family and friends have talked about how they feel about his flashing his bum on TV, and now his mum has given her verdict.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Barbara Farage said: “When I first saw it, I did think: ‘Good God, it’s my oldest son’s backside!.”
“That was a bit much . . . he’s a former politician after all.”
But she did add, she thought he looked in good shape, as he “looks after himself”.
The matriarch of the Farage family said: “I thought how slim he was — but then he does eat well, he doesn’t snack or have cakes.
“And, remember, Nigel will be 60 next April and considering the life he has led, with the worry he’s always had, I thought he looked quite good.”
Meanwhile, it comes after Nigel’s legal team reportedly complained to ITV over repeatedly showing the former politician naked.
According to reports, the Brexit supporter’s aides have claimed there is an ‘indecency’ clause in his contract, which is supposed to ban bosses from showing him with his kit off.
Just days into the show Nigel was shown showering and then again in the bath – leaving those watching at home and his campmates shocked.
ITV confirmed they have received a complaint but have stated there is nothing in his contract stopping him being showed naked.
An insider told the Mail On Sunday: “The legal team were not exactly over the moon about the naked scenes being shown. It simply broke the clause in the contract.
“Nigel will be surprised at the incredible reaction to it when he comes out because, as always, he is just being himself in the jungle. Who knows – maybe he could even do a calendar next year.”
Nigel is said to be the highest paid contestant in the show’s history – and it reportedly getting £1.5 million for his stint.
