Historical Society to host full moon wolf walk
The Schenectady County Historical Society is hosting a full moon walk for January's "Wolf Moon" on Thursday.
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Schenectady County Historical Society is hosting a full moon walk for January's "Wolf Moon" on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. It is being held at the Mabee Farm Historic Site.
According to the historical society, the Full Wolf Moon in January was named for wolf packs circling icy villages, howling out in the night. People can join the organization for an illuminated walk in the woods of Woestyne for a chance to enjoy the full moon outdoors.
After the full moon walk, the historical society plans to make a fire in its historic fireplace with storytellers to share tales from the area. Warm drinks will be served.
Admission costs $10 for non-members and $5 for members. Tickets are available for purchase online.
