Nando’s is bringing back ’10/10′ fan favourite missing from menus for more than a year – and it’s a permanent addition
NANDO’S is bringing back a “10/10” menu item last seen in restaurants over a year ago.
The restaurant chain might be more renowned for its chicken, but foodies will be able to grab something a bit different within days.
The home of peri-peri chicken is bringing back peri-peri gravy permanently from next Tuesday (May 14).
Chicken-lovers will be able to pick up a jug for £1.75 from all UK and Republic of Ireland restaurants.
The chicken gravy first launched on a trial basis in 2018 and was last seen on menus in 2022.
Fans of the sauce will undoubtedly be buzzing to hear it’s coming back for good.
Plenty have taken to social media before to reveal how much they love it.
One previously said it was a “10/10” item while another branded it “elite” and a third “insane”.
Others have been left buzzing to hear the gooey sauce is making a return.
One, posting on X, said “gravy is back YASSSSS” while a second said “oh no. Stop is gravy coming back?!”
A third added: “For the win! GRAVVYYYYYY.”
It’s not the first time Nando’s has shaken up its menu in the last couple of years.
It’s quite normal for restaurant chains to change things up to keep customers on their toes and give new products a try, or ditch less popular ones.
The chicken maker added fully-loaded chips to menus UK-wide last June, posting the news in a cryptic video on X.
One fan said the arrival of the new menu item would spell the “best day ever”.
Another simply chimed in: “No way!”
It wasn’t just fully loaded chips that made their way on to menus for the first time last June either.
Nando’s also added pepper and feta dip to its offering, which combined roasted peppers, tomatoes and garlic whizzed up with feta.
In August last year, it added two new cocktails to menus which, of course, came with a classic Nando’s twist.
Fans could pick up the PERi-cante (196cals) and Sunset slushie for the first time.
How does Nando's loyalty scheme work?
HERE'S how the Nando's Rewards scheme works...
Nando’s offers customers free food when they accrue “Chillies”, or loyalty points.
These chillies can then be redeemed for different types of free food, including free chicken and sides.
You have to spend a minimum of £7 to get one chilli.
You can download the Nando’s app via the App Store or Google Play, or pick up a physical card in-store.
It came after The Sun exclusively revealed last March Nando’s had hiked prices of its bottomless drinks by 10p in a blow for fans.
A spokesperson confirmed it had made the change after “continuing to work hard to absorb costs wherever we can”.
It came with inflation soaring and food costs rising for millions of households across the UK.
