Homeware fans race to Asda for duvet set scanning for £1.60, but others admit they’ve donated theirs to the charity shop
SOME people fork out hundreds of pounds for the perfect duvet set.
So it’s no wonder homeware fans have started racing to Asda for double Seersucker set scanning for just £1.60.
Victoria took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook after spotting the epic bargain in her local store.
“Can’t go wrong for £1.60! Lovely wee duvet set!” she wrote alongside a picture of the duvet set, which comes with two pillowcases.
And while there were tonnes of people quick to rave about the deal, others had some warning words to offer.
“Don’t.. They’re polyester, slide all over the bed and they make you sweat,” one wrote.
“I was wrapped like a burrito couldn’t get unwrapped – gave it to charity lol,” another added.
“Is that how I’m sweating like mad?? I thought it was my age!” a third commented.
“I normally don’t get them if they’re slidy but I find this one okay – so far lol,” someone else said.
As another wrote: “I’ve had this material it doesn’t wash well but will be OK for people on a budget.”
The duvet set is actually 52% recycled polyester and 48% cotton.
“No way did I buy this last week at full price!” someone else commented on the post, to which another said: “I bought it more than a week ago already down to £1.60.
“I’d go back to your local store and ask if it was supposed to be marked down!”
And others admitted they’d be hearing to their local Asda hunting for the same duvet set.
“Cannot go wrong at that price,” one wrote.
“Love the colour,” another added.
“Brilliant, love bargains,” a third said.
The positive reviews also kept on coming on the George at Asda website, where the duvet set is still listed at £10 for a double.
