One woman has spilled her secret to clear skin using a $12 product from the pharmacy.
Redditor Etaksmash dished on her acne-fighting must-have in a comment on the social media platform.
She said that after using the spray-on product, it changed her skin from blemished to clear.
The skincare junkie is such a big fan, she keeps a bottle of it in her car.
She also recommends the spray to her friends, calling it her “holy grail.”
WHAT IS IT?
She uses a potent acne-fighting spray, which is available at Walgreens.
It’s called hypochlorous acid spray and is typically used as an anti-microbial for various skin conditions.
The Cleansing Spray is sold at Walgreens for $11.99.
“Spray it on your back in the morning and night and let it dry before putting on any lotion,” she said.
“I spray it on my face, chest, and back every day and my skin is so clear.
“[I] also keep a bottle in my car and spray on my face after a sweaty workout.
“I discovered this a couple [of] months ago and it’s my holy grail and I tell all my friends about it.”
HOW DOES IT WORK?
According to a study, hypochlorous acid is effective in wound healing, which may be why it’s so effective in clearing acne.
Several other Redditors chimed in about the potency of the spray.
“Hypochlorous acid is also a spray that fights bacteria,” one wrote.
“This one you can apply during the day.
“I would recommend to apply it if you have been sweating, like after the gym.
