The Al-Rehab Soft Perfume ($7) is a cirtus-y perfume that shoppers have claimed as their “sigature scent,” and it has so many different notes in this bottle.
Now, before we get into what this smells like, we need to talk about top notes, middle notes, and base notes. Per Eden’s Garden, top notes are the initial scents you smell in it, the middle notes are what give it depth, and the base notes are the lingering scents of it. Makes sense, right? Well, get ready for this lineup.
The top notes for this perfume, meaning the ones you smell right away, are rosemary, petitgrain (leaves from a bitter orange tree), lavender, and neroli (which is also from an orange tree).
As for the middle notes, there’s galbanum (which has a more bitter smell), Clary Sage, Geranium and Jasmine, so lots of florals! Then, the base notes, meaning the scents that linger, are amber, sandalwood, oakmoss, vetiver (which has a woody, musky scent), and cedar. Doesn’t that sound so good?
“Like Pink Sugar but better,” one shopper, of many, gleefully said. “I layered the Soft oil and EDP together, went to bed and in the morning I could still smell it on myself. Pink Sugar doesn’t last even an hour on me! For 5-ish bucks, just get it – you won’t be disappointed! Oh, and the bottle is really cute, too!”
