The 46-year-old previously spoke out about the near-fatal crash, which resulted in him undergoing several operations on his face.
Beeb bosses later axed Top Gear after more than four decades on television.
And now Freddie looks set to speak in depth about the crash in a brand new documentary for streaming giant Disney+.
TVZone report production listings for the doc will see the cricket ace reveal how his life has changed in the last two years.
They add the currently untitled show will have a ‘feature-length’ running time.
The Sun has contacted Disney but understands a documentary about Freddie’s ordeal had been touted for some time now.
Dad-of-four Freddie spoke about the effects of his life-changing injuries when he returned to screens earlier this year with his Field of Dreams On Tour series.
During the show, he said: “There’ll be times when I take myself off and you won’t see me for half an hour. I’ll go cry in my room and come back.”
He continued: “I genuinely should not be here after what happened. It’s going to be a long road back and I’ve only just started.
“I’ve got to look at the positives, I’ve got another chance, and I’m going to go at it. I’m seeing that as how it is – a second go.”
Filmed weeks after his surgeries, Freddie’s many stitches were on show, including a large dressing on his cheek, with his voice distorted by his swollen lips and broken nose.
Freddie added: “I am what I am now. I’m different to what I was. It’s something I’ll have to deal with for the rest of my life. Better? No. Different.
“Something happened which changed my life forever.”
Last month The Sun revealed how Flintoff had signed up to host ITV’s reboot of Bullseye.
