What the 2024 I’m A Celeb stars really look like without make-up and the strict jungle packing list they need to follow
NEXT Sunday, a new cohort of campmates are being thrust into Britain’s favourite jungle.
Among the line-up for 2024’s I’m A Celebrity is N-Dubz frontwoman Tulisa Contostavlos, iconic WAG Coleen Rooney and Love Island alumni Maura Higgins.
Glamorous WAG Coleen Rooney is entering the jungle this year[/caption] As is Love Island USA host and Love Island UK alumni, Maura Higgins[/caption]The British public will also get familiar with Strictly pro Oti Mabuse and TikTokker GK Barry, whose real name is Grace.
These women will lay their souls and deepest fears bare to seven million viewers every night.
And they’ll also be laying their faces bare.
The famous crop aren’t allowed to take in any make-up or skincare products.
They will be provided with various necessities, including toothpaste, sunscreen, mosquito repellant, deodorant and generic body lotion, according to former contestant Lisa Snowdon – but that’s it.
As far as packing goes, the stars can only take in three sets of underwear and three sets of swimwear each.
They’re allowed to choose one luxury item from home – such as a pillow or picture – but won’t get to have this until a week or so into the show.
Fortunately, thanks to the rise of “keeping it real” on social media, these celebs are used to being seen bare-faced and getting vulnerable in front of the British public.
Fabulous takes a look at the beauty regimes they’re leaving behind and the strict packing rules they have to follow to be in for a chance of becoming Queen of the Jungle…
Maura Higgins
Maura, pictured here on the red carpet earlier this year, was seen visiting an east London nail salon yesterday ahead of her jungle stint[/caption]According to her edit with Cosmetips, 33-year-old Maura Higgins‘ beloved buy for tired eyes is the £115 Rodial Bee Venom Eye Cream.
Somehow, we don’t think the Jungle-issued generic lotion will measure up to the luxury product’s stem cell technology.
Bosses at Rodial describe it as “an extreme performance eye cream to smooth out under eye wrinkles, brighten dark circles and firm the skin with bee venom”.
Maura told Grazia in 2021 that she gets her confidence from nude lipstick – which is something she’ll have to leave behind to enter the jungle.
“I’ve always been a very confident girl anyway, I got that from my mammy,” she said.
“We all just feel amazing when we’re glam.
“Even a bit of lipstick makes you feel a thousand times better.
“For me lipstick boosts my mood and it doesn’t even necessarily have to be a bright colour, even a nude shade.”
Coleen Rooney
Coleen Rooney will be leaving her anti-ageing weapon at home to become an I’m A Celeb campmate[/caption] WAGs are known for their glam squads but down-to-earth Colleen is often spotted without make-up[/caption]Mum-of-four Coleen Rooney, 38, will be leaving her anti-ageing secret weapon at her £20 million Cheshire mansion to enter the jungle.
The WAG-turned-documentary star revealed this summer that she swears by a powdered drink mix (made from marine collagen) to keep wrinkles at bay.
She said that the concoction helps “restore skin elasticity, reduce wrinkles and promote a youthful appearance”.
Unfortunately, I’m A Celeb producers don’t even provide tea or coffee to the celebrity campaigns.
That means Coleen will be relying solely on water from the creek to hydrate her skin.
She may be able to nab an electrolyte drink behind-the-scenes if her energy levels are low though, according to Rayo.
Oti Mabuse
As pictured above, she has previously shared no make-up snaps on Instagram while getting candid with fans[/caption]If you’re a fan of Strictly, you’ll know that Oti Mabuse always looks flawless – even when she’s doing the Cha-Cha-Cha.
But the 34-year-old’s skincare efforts only started a few years ago.
“When I was in my 20s, I didn’t have a skin regime,” the mum-of-one told Good Housekeeping last year. “I would sleep with my make-up, and go out wearing it the next day.
“Then in my 30s I looked in the mirror and was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I need to care for my skin.’ It was tired and very dry.”
These days, she double cleanses every night and swears by a daily regime to hydrate herself.
Luckily for Oti, waking up in the Jungle seems less horrible than waking up hungover with last night’s make-up still on.
Tulisa Contostavlos
The singer, pictured here fresh faced, has bravely opened up about her 12-year health battle ahead of her jungle stint[/caption]Fans of N-Dubz vocalist Tulisa Contostavlos will know that her full glam looks are always flawless.
Back in 2022, the singer even joked that she is a “real life catfish” when it comes to her make-up.
But with cosmetic products banned for campmates, the 36-year-old will be ditching her false lashes and sharp eyeliner to go au naturel.
Earlier this week, she enjoyed a two hour pampering session at a nail salon ahead of her jungle stint.
After a 12-year health battle, the star is hoping to revive her career as a household name through the show.
The former X Factor judge had “three chronically infected cysts” in her left cheek.
She believes chronic infection could have triggered the host of health issues she’s been facing in private for years – including Bell’s Palsy, a condition that causes sudden weakness in the muscles on one side of the face.
GK Barry
GK Barry rose to fame through her confessional videos on TikTok during the pandemic[/caption]TikTok content creator Grace Keeling, better known to her fans as GK Barry, will have no issue baring all in the jungle.
The 25-year-old shot to fame recording candid videos about her love life during the pandemic.
She would also be candid about her skincare woes, which she further addressed in an interview with Heat at the start of this year.
“I used to have crazy acne, my skin used to be so bad,” she shared.
“Funnily enough, Megan Barton-Hanson introduced me to this brand called Obagi and it completely got rid of it and I have amazing skin now.”
Unfortunately, jungle bosses won’t allow Grace to pack her trusty Obagi products, a number of which cost over £100.
Earlier this week, The Sun revealed that Grace is at the heart of “crisis talks” centred around her place on the ITV reality show.
It comes after she was slammed for “giving a platform” to OnlyFans creator Bonnie Blue, who recently made headlines for bedding a series of University students during Freshers Week.
Bonnie Bleu also boasted about sleeping with a dad and his son.
Podcast host Grace – who turned down a Strictly spot for a stint in the I’m A Celeb jungle – is now in the midst of an “absolute PR nightmare,” a source has told us.
