Third arrest in connection with Lafayette double murder Saturday
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- A third arrest has been made in connection with the Lafayette shooting Saturday that left two dead and two more in critical condition, authorities said.
Deontre Spencer, 25, of St. Martinville, is charged with two counts of principal to first degree murder and two counts of principal to attempted first degree murder.
Those charges are connected to the killing Corey Mouton, 26 of Carencro and Jamir Carmouche, 24 of Lafayette, on E. University Avenue Saturday night, just hours after the University of Louisiana-Lafayette’s homecoming football game.
Spencer's bond is set at $4 million.
Previously, Previously, Dylon Doucet, 26, of St. Martinville, and Trevon Charles, 26, of St. Martinville, were arrested and each charged with two counts of first degree murder and two counts of attempted first degree murder. They are each being held on $4 million bond as well.
The investigation remains ongoing, officials said.
