Five Journalists killed in Gaza during Israeli Airstrikes
International media reports have stated that five journalists were killed while performing their duties during Israeli airstrikes on Palestinian territory.
Al Jazeera reported that the journalists were killed when an Israeli airstrike hit the live broadcast vehicle of Quds Network near al-Awda Hospital in the al-Nuseirat refugee camp.
Palestinian media outlets have identified the deceased journalists as Fadi Hasouna, Ibrahim al-Sheikh Ali, Mohammed al-Lad’aa, Faisal Abu al-Qumsan, and Ayman al-Jadi.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza issued a statement reporting that the number of casualties from the Israeli occupation’s assault on Gaza has reached 107,803 injured.
The statement further emphasized that in the past 24 hours, the Israeli occupation forces committed three massacres, killing 23 Palestinians and injuring 39 others. Many victims remain trapped under rubble or in streets, with rescue teams unable to reach them.
As Israel’s attacks on Gaza continue into the fifteenth consecutive month, the International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of War Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and using hunger as a weapon.
The ongoing violence in Gaza, marked by the loss of innocent lives including journalists, underscores the urgent need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. The international community must intensify efforts to address the humanitarian crisis, hold perpetrators accountable, and work towards ending the cycle of violence that continues to devastate Palestinian civilians.
