Patchy dense fog tonight followed by a mostly sunny day to close out the weekend
What We’re Tracking
- Seasonably warm Sunday
- Rain on Monday night / Tuesday morning
- Cold start into 2025
The sun finally peeked through this afternoon, helping temperatures rise into the mid 50s. Tonight, we'll have partly cloudy skies with dense, patchy fog developing again across northeast Kansas. Light southwest winds will continue.
Sunday will be similar to today, with some morning fog and highs reaching the mid 50s once again. The afternoon will bring gradual clearing and plenty of sunshine. Winds will pick up, gusting near 20 mph from the northwest.
The mild air sticks around for Monday, but we get a front to move in late Monday into Tuesday that will bring in colder air to ring in the new year. There's also a chance we get some showers and even a few snowflakes early Tuesday.
Anticipate a cold start to 2025 with highs struggling to get out of the upper 30s through the end of next week.
