Kieran Culkin Admits He Took a Shot of Tequila Before Winning a Golden Globe
At the 82nd Golden Globes, Kieran Culkin took home the trophy for the best Male Supporting Actor in any Motion Picture. He won for the movie A Real Pain, which was written and directed by Jessie Eisenberg. The movie also stars Jesse Eisenberg alongside Culkin as cousins on an epic family trip to Poland.
In accepting his award, Culkin described going to the Golden Globes as "the best date night I could ever have," referring to his wife, Jazz Charton, whom he's been married to since 2012.
But, the best part of Kieran's speech was the beginning, when he said he and his wife "did a shot of tequila with Mario Lopez" before the ceremony began. We didn't actually see this happen on camera, so its unclear if Kieran was being 100 percent serious, but we hope this was a legit confession.
Kieran Culkin, of course, is Macaulay Culkin's younger brother, and even appeared in Home Alone in 1990 in a small-ish role. Recently, Culkin admitted to getting Mark Ruffalo stoned as "a prank." And that fact alone makes us think he was probably serious about taking a shot with Mario Lopez at the Golden Globes.
Did Mario Lopez grab Culkin and say, "Take this shot with me, preppie?" in his best A.C. Slater voice? We can only hope.
