PRINCESS Kate celebrated her 43rd birthday this week, and a royal expert predicted that Prince William may treat his wife to a special piece of jewellery.
Any new necklace or bracelet would join Kate’s impressive jewellery collection, with 10 of her top pieces being worth a total of £62million.
From her £1million wedding day tiara to her £300,000 engagement ring, the Princess of Wales has worn some showstopping items during her royal life.

Princess Diana‘s engagement ring
Passed down to Kate by William upon their engagement in 2010, Princess Diana’s engagement ring encapsulates both history and beauty, making it Kate’s most iconic piece of jewellery.
Stephanie said: “Diana’s engagement ring is truly a beautiful piece of jewellery. It’s a 12-carat oval cut Ceylon sapphire, set in 18-karat white gold and has an estimated value of £300,000 today.”
Nizam of Hyderabad necklace
The Nizam of Hyderabad necklace is one of the most extravagant pieces of jewellery we’ve seen on the Princess of Wales.
It’s a platinum and diamond necklace that the Nizam of Hyderabad gifted to Queen Elizabeth II in 1947.
Stephanie added: “The Nizam of Hyderabad necklace is a truly delicate and extravagant piece.
“It features 13 emerald-cut diamonds and a pear-shaped centre diamond and is rumoured to be the Royal family‘s most expensive piece, estimated at around £66 million.”
Gold Charm Bracelet
Kate is often spotted sporting a gold bracelet that was gifted to her by Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
It features a ‘C’ for their names, alongside a coronet and a crown.
Stephanie shared: “The gold charm bracelet we often see Kate in was a touching wedding gift from the Duchess of Cornwall and holds a lot of sentimental value.
“However, it is one of the more affordable pieces of royal jewellery, estimated at around £2,500.”
Eternity Ring
Kate’s eternity ring was gifted to her by William following the birth of their son and future king, Prince George.
She is often seen wearing it in place of her iconic engagement ring.
Stephanie commented “There is a lot of speculation around Kate wearing her eternity ring in place of her engagement ring.
“However, from a jeweller’s perspective, it is most likely that this ring is more practical for everyday wear.
“Unlike her engagement ring, this eternity ring only has an estimated value of £1,500.”
Cartier Halo Tiara
Kate wore the Cartier halo tiara on her wedding day in 2011, which has been passed down through generations and worn by both Princess Margaret and Princess Anne.
Jewellery whizz Stephanie stated: “The Cartier halo tiara is one of Kate’s most iconic and delicate jewellery pieces.
“It features 739 brilliant-cut diamonds and 149 baguette diamonds and has an estimated value of around £1million, making it the ultimate princess tiara that many girls dream of.”
Cambridge Lovers Knot Tiara
Commissioned by Queen Mary in 1913, the Cambridge Lovers Knot Tiara is one of the Royal family’s most treasured pieces.
It has been spotted adorning the head of the Princess of Wales on several occasions.
The jewellery expert advised: “The Cambridge Lovers Knot tiara is a beautiful piece of jewellery.
“Thanks to its brilliant craftsmanship and rich history, it’s estimated to be worth over £1million.”
Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch
Prince William gifted Kate a beautiful Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch for their third wedding anniversary.
The beautiful piece bears a resemblance to both his own and the one worn by his late mother, Princess Diana.
Stephanie commented: “Cartier is synonymous with the Royal family, with many of its members owning multiple pieces of the coveted jewellery, including Kate.
“This watch, in particular, retails for around £4,850.”
Promise Ring
Kate’s promise ring is rumoured to be the first piece of jewellery William gifted to her while they were courting at St Andrew’s, making it one of her most iconic and sentimental pieces to date.
Stephanie shared: “Kate has been spotted wearing her promise ring recently, and it’s an extremely beautiful yet understated piece of jewellery.
“Featuring garnets of William and Kate’s birthstones, its estimated worth is around £2,000.”
Maple Leaf Brooch
The Maple leaf broach that has been spotted adorned on the jackets of Kate was given to the Queen Mother as a gift from her husband, King George VI in 1939 and has remained a mainstay in the royal jewellery collection.
The jewellery expert continued: “The maple leaf broach is made from platinum and covered in diamonds in the shape of Canada’s distinguishable emblem.
“Its expert craftsmanship and story mean that it is estimated to be worth around £100,000.”
New Zealand Fern Brooch
The New Zealand Fern brooch is another gift passed down generations through the royal family and spotted on the Princess of Wales herself.
The silver tree represents New Zealand and was gifted to Queen Elizabeth II by Lady Allum in 1953.
Stephanie added: “The Princess of Wales’ selection of royal brooches are admirable and beautifully made, particularly the New Zealand Fern Brooch, made from platinum and encrusted with diamonds, with an estimated value of £25,000.”
