Dani Dazey Brings ’60s and ’70s Vibes to Puma for a New Women’s Golf Collection — and Yes, There Is Footwear
For its latest collaboration, Puma Golf has tapped fashion, print and interior designer Dani Dazey for a women’s range that evokes the 1960s and ’70s.
“We always want to be leaders in style and Dani’s design skills and unique perspective gives us a new take on the women’s golf category with a fresh breath of color that stands out from the crowd,” Puma Golf senior women’s product line manager Jordan Ogier said in a statement.
Dani Dazey’s collection with Puma Golf, the athletic giant described in a statement, reflects her “flair for mixing modern and old school flavors” and has a “’60s and ’70s feel” due to its mix of modern and retro details. These details include metal logo badges, pleat collars and Intarsia knits.
Though the collection is apparel-heavy, Dani Dazey and Puma Golf teamed up on footwear as well. Specifically, the collection features the Avant Golf Shoe, reimagined using white-magic, rose-sunny and yellow hues. In terms of tech, the spikeless shoe features waterproof full-grain leather uppers, the brand’s ProFoam midsoles and its ENR rubber outsoles.
The Dani Dazey x Puma Golf Avant shoe will retail for $125.
As for the apparel, the Los Angeles-based designer lent her creative eye to the Cloudspun Mock ($70), the SL Polo ($75), the Wrap Skirt ($90), a dress ($120), a sweater ($120), a visor ($40) and a pleated skirt ($90).
The collection arrives Jan. 13 via Pumagolf.com.
“Working with Puma Golf was a blast,” Dani Dazey said in a statement. “I love sharing my vision with great partners and the lineup of items in our new collaboration is very cool. With inviting colors and a new take on proven patterns, I know female golfers with an eye for fashion will love what we have to offer.”
