A$AP Rocky's Attorney Reveals if Rihanna Will Be Involved in Rapper's Upcoming Felony Assault Trial
A$AP Rocky‘s attorney is speaking out about his upcoming felony assault trial and if his longtime love Rihanna will play a role.
If you were unaware, the 36-year-old rapper was charged with two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm in August 2022. He was accused of shooting his former friend A$AP Relli. He pleaded not guilty in 2022. However, a judge ruled that the case will proceed with a criminal trial in late 2023.
The trial is expected to begin in the coming days. Ahead of that, A$AP‘s attorney Joe Tacopina spoke out in an interview and touched on how his client and his family feels about the allegations.

Speaking to Extra, Joe said that A$AP‘s team was “ready to go” ahead of the trial.
“It’s been a long time. It’s been over two years. Obviously, it’s been weighing over Rocky and Rihanna and their family. We’re anxious to get this thing underway and get this behind him and them,” he said.
Joe added that Rihanna likely will not be involved in the trial. By the sounds of it, that is because A$AP is trying to shield her from it.
“Rocky‘s very protective of Rihanna and doesn’t want her anywhere near this proceeding,” he explained.
Rihanna and A$AP were just recently spotted out on a date night.
