Who Is Kanye West's Wife, Bianca Censori? What We Know About the Turbulent Marriage

Kanye West’s love life has never gone under the radar, from earlier relationships with Alexis Phifer and Amber Rose to his famous (infamous?) marriage to Kim Kardashian. But there’s a bit more mystery to his current marriage to Australian architect (not to mention Yeezy employee) Bianca Censori. Beyond the very racy photo shoots of his newish wife that the musician is known to share online, what’s making this romance tick? Below we cover everything to know about Ye’s current marriage.

How Kanye West and Bianca Censori Met

Let’s back up: Everyone is at least somewhat aware of Kanye West (who has legally changed his name to Ye) and Kim Kardashian's marriage from 2014 to 2022. Their relationship very publicly disintegrated in 2021 amid Ye’s troubling antics, and their divorce was finalized in 2022. The rapper and reality star share four kids: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

But Ye did not waste time in exploring other romantic entanglements following his split from Kardashian. Several months after she filed for divorce, Ye was linked to Russian model Irina Shayk, who also happens to be actor Bradley Cooper’s ex. Then Ye had a much-photographed dalliance with celebrity personality Julia Fox (their matching Canadian tuxedos went viral). After they went their separate ways, Ye was spotted with model Chaney Jones in 2022. That is, until he found his current long-term partner in Censori.

But Censori was no stranger to Ye. In fact, since 2020, the Australian has been an architectural designer for the rapper and fashion mogul’s brand Yeezy. She currently serves as Head of Architecture at Yeezy. It became pretty obvious the two were more than coworkers when he seemingly named a song after his employee, “Censori Overload," in December 2022.

Ye and Censori’s Explicit Love Affair

From there, the two were seen dining together in Beverly Hills. In January 2023, TMZ reported that the couple had secretly wed in a “private ceremony.” The legality of the marriage is still unclear, since reportedly West and Censori have not yet filed an official marriage certificate.

While Ye went through a public fall from grace in the past several years in light of antisemitic and other damaging comments, Censori has seemed to be a pillar of support, as well as a muse, in sometimes graphic photos seemingly staged by the musician. Ye has posted numerous photos of the two, including in matching black, as well as solo photos of his latest wife. The couple was accused of a lewd act on a boat in Venice, Italy, where Ye was photographed with his pants down, and Censori nestled in his lap. 

In October 2024, TMZ reported that Ye and Censori's relationship was on the rocks. But that seems questionable, as the PDA continued. Just this week, Ye faced backlash for having “no respect” for Censori after sharing (then quickly deleting) a snap of his wife in possibly the tiniest bikini known to man, leaving virtually nothing to the imagination.

What About Censori’s Life Before Ye?

In addition to doing architecture work for Ye’s brand Yeezy, Censori has her own background worth exploring. The 30-year-old  Australian and, per her LinkedIn, finished high school in 2012 and earned her undergraduate degree in 2017 before moving on to graduate school. Censori graduated with both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture from the University of Melbourne. Before her Yeezy time, she was reportedly a student architect at DP Toscano Architects from July 2017 to June 2020.

While Censori’s exact architectural endeavors under Yeezy remain hard to know, her passion for architecture is clear. In an interview with Hypebeast that has since been taken down, she spoke about how she got into her profession.

“I was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia,” she said. “As a child I was consistently drawn to creative endeavors, mostly artistic. I always wanted to be a sculptor and to me, architecture is the union of art and pragmatics. It is the grandest artistic gesture that we can place onto the earth. I was drawn to it, purely, as a shift in artistic scale.”

Censori added, “As a child, I spent a lot of time with my aunt who would consistently expose me to an array of art, film, and architecture… She really drove my love for design and instilled in me an eye for aesthetics that I was able to nurture into adulthood.”
