Caroline explained that adding layers is a simple way to make a space look more expensive without forking out hundreds of pounds.
She added: “Pairing soft neutral walls with rich textures like velvet cushions, linen curtains, or a wool rug creates an inviting, expensive-looking space.
“Layering different shades of beige and greige also adds depth and interest.”
