Dana White, Mike Tyson, other pros pay tribute to legendary George Foreman after passing away at 76
George Foreman left an impact on the combat sports world.
On Friday night, Foreman’s family announced the passing of the boxing legend at the age of 76 on his official Instagram account.
Foreman accomplished so much throughout his 81-fight pro career, which includes two world heavyweight championship runs. At the age of 46, Foreman became the oldest heavyweight champion in boxing history, which helped lead to inductions to the World Boxing Hall of Fame and International Boxing Hall of Fame.
Before turning pro, Foreman captured a gold medal at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City. Once he turned to the pro ranks, Foreman challenged Joe Frazier for the heavyweight title in 1973, pulling off a massive upset by battering Frazier for an unbelievable six knockdowns to win his first heavyweight title.
The combat sports community showed their appreciation and respect to Foreman and his family after the news dropped, including UFC CEO Dana White, and fellow boxing legends. Check out their reactions below.
