Babysitter carjacked while looking after two 7-year-old girls: sources
THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – A babysitter was carjacked while looking after two 7-year-old girls on Monday. Sources said the kids he was watching were taken while in the car.
Officers received a 911 call at 3:33 p.m. about a vehicle larceny in front of 2545 Gunther Avenue. Police say a white 2021 Honda had been stolen while double-parked outside the building.
Two 7-year-old passengers were in the back of the vehicle at the time of the carjacking, sources said.
Officers located the children and the car near Woodhull Avenue and Arnow Avenue shortly after. Both children were unharmed and were taken to a local hospital for evaluation, police sources said.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
