The Best James Bond Movies Are About to Get a Huge Upgrade
As the world waits for the future of 007, it's never a bad time to go back to the beginning. And, coming very soon, all six of Sean Connery's original James Bond films will enjoy a slick new 4K release.
According to a report from Dawn of the Discs, experts on all things physical media, a Sean Connery Bond 4K UHD Steelbook set is coming very soon. This fact is confirmed by the existence of an Amazon pre-order link, though an exact release date has not been revealed. This follows a report from 2024 from the Bond site MI6-HQ, which also revealed 4K remasters of Sean Connery Bond films were coming in this year.

The set will include the following James Bond movies, remastered in 4K:
- Dr. No (1962)
- From Russia With Love (1963)
- Goldfinger (1964)
- Thunderball (1965)
- You Only Live Twice (1967)
- Diamonds Are Forever (1971)
This represents the first time the classic Bond films have been remastered in 4K, and the first major new release of Bond movies on physical media in a hot second. While cleaned-up versions of the Connery films exist on Blu-ray and on streaming, a true HD 4K restoration has only been glimpsed in clips from documentaries. For example, the 2022 documentary The Sound of 007 sported eye-popping moments from the early Bond films, which seemed to have been given the 4K treatment.
Again, a release date for this set has not been confirmed, but later in the fall of 2025 is a good bet.
