Tesco urgently recalls popular ready meals over health risk fears & warns shoppers ‘do NOT eat’
TESCO has urgently recalled its Free From Meal Kits due to undeclared soya in the products.
The recall was announced by the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
Initially, the presence of soya was not included on the meal kits’ ingredient list.
The FSA (Food Standards Agency) confirmed the products are potentially dangerous for those with this specific allergy.
They said in a statement: “Tesco is recalling the above products from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
“The company has also issued a recall notice to its customers.
“These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.”
In the meantime, the grocery giant urged: “If you have bought the above products do not eat them.
“Instead, return them to any Tesco store for a full refund.
