Aston Martin's New Vanquish Volante Convertible Reaches Speeds of 214 MPH
The new Aston Martin Vanquish Volante convertible reaches top speeds of 214 mph.
"This was our new convertible of Vanquish," said Lisa Anastas, general manager of New York by Aston Martin, in a video posted by Forbes. She called the 2026 model car the "fastest road production convertible we’ve ever made."
According to Robb Report, the James Bond-style vehicle has "a top speed of 214 mph and a V-12 making 823 horsepower," making it the world's "fastest front-engine convertible."
Anastas said the company uses the "golden ratio" to attract customers to the vehicle. The company's website refers to the Vanquish Volante as "The fastest, most powerful open-top-production Aston Martin to date. The pinnacle of top-down driving."
Robb Report referred to the car as aspiring "to compete with Rolls-Royce and Bentley" and possessing "a motor that wants to compete with Lamborghini and Ferrari."
"For 60 years, Aston Martin Volantes have defined the art of elegant, sporty, open-top motoring," Adrian Hallmark, chief executive officer, says on the company's website.
The website lists the full specifications for the vehicle. Like the coupe, "the new Volante is a head turner, and even though the grille has grown by more than 13 percent," wrote Car and Driver.
The car's price hasn't been announced. Car and Driver predicts the car will "start considerably closer to the $500,000 mark than the 2025 coupe's $432,700 sticker."

Production is less than 1,000 cars per year, and that's "between the coupe and the Volante," Car and Driver reported.
According to Maxim, traveling in "a straight line, the Volante will hit 60 mph in 3.4 second."
