Star of iconic Noughties TV ad pops up in Disney’s troubled Snow White movie 15 years later- but do you know who it is?
A STAR of an iconic Noughties TV ad has made an unexpected appearance in Disney’s troubled Snow White movie.
The actor, Colin Carmichael, became known to TV viewers around the world for his role as one-half of an iconic advert duo.
Colin appeared as one of the 118 118 men known for their 70s shaggy hairstyles and throwback red and white running get-up.
The advert showed Colin and co-star Darren McFerran as retro British athletes as they enthusiastically raced around neighbourhoods and insisting they’ve “got your number”.
The series of adverts for the US owned directory service ran between 2003 and 2010 and saw the pair become instantly recognisable.
However, Colin now looks wildly different after landing a part in the new Disney movie, Snow White.
The controversial film has been marred with negativity and has failed to be a box office smash like Disney had hoped.
In the movie, Colin plays the role of bandit Farno.
Farno is one of the seven gang members who are in support of Snow White’s father, the King.
Colin is also a bit of a secret movie legend having also starred alongside Ariana Grande in Wicked last year in the small part of Professor Nikidik.
He’s also been in Black Mirror and Midsomer Murders.
However, his latest role in Snow White is arguably his biggest – aside from 118 118.
But the flick has been branded “woke” and has been slapped with bizarre warnings, including one for “ominous trees”.
Viewers are informed that the £200million remake of the 1937 classic features a woman being “deliberately poisoned”.
The British Board of Film Classification also warns that “a character threatens to shove something up another’s backside during a comic exchange”.
Elsewhere, “characters drink alcohol briefly” in the film, which has been shrouded in controversy.
Actress Rachel Zegler, 23, who plays Snow White, said the original Prince Charming acted like a “stalker”.
She also refused to sing Someday My Prince Will Come because she felt it was “weird”.
