Pete Davidson Offered Apology by Comedian for Kim Kardashian Joke
Comedian Luenell insists she did not mean to make Pete Davidson feel "uncomfortable" on live TV. On the March 26 episode of "Everybody's Live with John Mulaney," Luenell caressed Davidson's leg during a segment when they were blindfolded, before commenting on his dating life and prior relationship with Kim Kardashian.
A source told People that Davidson was "uncomfortable" with the interaction.
In a statement to the outlet, Luenell apologized. "I admit, I was tickling Pete’s leg during a segment of Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney; however, I did not mean to make Pete uncomfortable. I sincerely apologize. It was all done in jest.”
She continued, "I hope Pete will forgive me, and I’m still willing to go out on a date with him if he so chooses. And I promise I won’t touch him again unless he wants me to!”
A rep for Luenell also told People, "By no means did my client, Luenell, want to make Mr. Davidson uncomfortable during their respective appearance on Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney. She was just being playful."
An insider added, "The whole set felt uncomfortable. It was really inappropriate, but Mulaney stepped in and kept things going. Pete played along in the moment because he didn’t want to derail the live show.”
Luenell also brought up Davidson's prior relationships during the comedy show segment. "Now, you've had Kim K, several other people, you've got this little supermodel right now."
That may not come as a surprise to people-- after all, Davidson has made headlines multiple times for his personal life. These days, the actor and comedian is dating model Elsie Hewitt. They were most recently spotted on March 19 swimming together in Palm Beach, Florida. Before Hewitt, Davidson dated "Outer Banks" star Madelyn Cline.
