Seth Rogen, Kaitlyn Dever, and 6 more actors skyrocketing in our Emmy predictions
With spring television in full bloom, more and more Emmy contenders are sprouting up Gold Derby's predictions charts. In fact, eight actors are now predicted to receive nominations, compared to our previous snapshot of 2025 Emmys odds on March 19.
That includes The Studio stars Seth Rogen in Best Comedy Actor and Ike Barinholtz in Best Comedy Supporting Actor. The buzzy Apple TV+ comedy series that lampoons Hollywood just debuted on March 26, and will air weekly until May 21, which ensures it'll stay top of mind during the last two months of the eligibility period. The other comedy contender rising up the ranks is Natasha Lyonne (Poker Face) in Best Comedy Actress, with Season 2 of her show set for a May 8 premiere.
As previously reported, Patrick Schwarzenegger (The White Lotus) jumped into the top seven this week in his Best Drama Supporting Actor category in the wake of his scandalous storyline. Schwarzenegger and Sam Nivola play brothers who fool around while on an overnight trip in Thailand, and both actors are everywhere right now — red carpets, talk shows, social media, industry panels, etc.
Four other contenders now predicted for some Emmy love are: Kaitlyn Dever (Apple Cider Vinegar) in Best Movie/Limited Actress; Stephen Graham (Adolescence) in Best Movie/Limited Actor; and Owen Cooper (Adolescence) and Rhenzy Feliz (The Penguin) in Best Movie/Limited Supporting Actor. There was initially category confusion over the two Adolescence actors' placements, but Gold Derby has learned that Graham (who's also the cocreator and cowriter) will be lead, while his teenage costar Cooper will be supporting.
