Horror Video Shows Skyscraper Pool During Myanmar Earthquake
One of the scariest videos to emerge out of the massive Myanmar earthquake shows people in a skyscraper pool in Bangkok, Thailand, when the quake hits.
The video, which went viral on X, shows the pool water splashing off the side of the skyscraper as the magnitude of what is happening slowly dawns on the people in the pool, who then rush to safety.

The death toll in Myanmar has topped 1,000, according to CNN. The number who died could end up exceeding 10,000, the network noted.
According to CNN, only one building collapsed in Bangkok, where the pool video was filmed, although the city was "rattled" by the quake in nearby Myanmar.
Ten people died in Thailand from the disaster, CNN reported.
A series of other terrifying videos showed skyscrapers in Myanmar when the quake hit, including water from pools splashing over the side.
One video showed the moment a skyscraper completely collapsed.
“The death toll and injuries are expected to rise,” the head of Myanmar’s military government, Senior Gen. Min Aung Hlaing said, according to The Associated Press.
According to AP, the earthquake, which struck in the middle of the day, reached a 7.7 magnitude. The quake's epicenter was near Mandalay. According to AP, an aftershock registered 6.4 magnitude. AP noted that Mandalay is Myanmar's "second-largest city."
AP reported that rescue efforts were underway to save people who were trapped under the rubble of fallen buildings. According to the wire service, the country is located in an "'earthquake belt," but quakes don't normally happen in such populated areas.
