Confused Britain’s Got Talent fans all asking the same question as they point out ‘issue’ with auditions
BRITAIN’S Got Talent viewers were left confused during the opening minutes of Saturday (29th March) night’s show.
As Cornel Hrisca-Munn, a drummer with no arms, arrived on the stage and spoke to the audience, those at home were left bewildered when he mentioned they were in Blackpool.
While the BGT judges and audience were thoroughly wowed by Cornel’s performance, people watching from the sofa couldn’t help but help but point out an issue.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one user wrote: “Are all the auditions just in Blackpool this year? #BGT”.
Another person penned: “Back to Blackpool for this week’s auditions? #BGT.”
While someone else asked: “I swear they used to go all round the country why does it only seem to be in Blackpool?”
However, if viewers had only read The Sun’s article back in November they’d already know the answer to their queries.
Last year, Bizarre Editor Ellie Henman revealed that bosses had pulled a massive U-turn on their plans to host the auditions at the London Palladium — and have moved them all up to Blackpool.
The source explained that the change was made because the atmosphere in the seaside town was so electric.
They said: “BGT is a show that hangs on the audience and how they react — and basically the crowd in Blackpool are absolutely brilliant.
“The Palladium is such an iconic venue but if you compare the shows in Blackpool to the ones they have filmed in London, the audience is way more up for it there.
“The auditions resume in the new year and they’ll all be filmed up in Blackpool.
“Boss Simon Cowell has given the green light to the move and just wants the show to be the best it can be.
“Fellow judge Amanda Holden might not be too impressed though, given she works in London five days a week and the trek to Blackpool is long.
“Fans will be emailed about the changes soon and BGT bosses think it is for the best.”
