Seth Rogen Admits 1 Major Change Was Made Early in 'The Studio'
Seth Rogen and company have a hit on their hands with the newest Apple TV+ release, The Studio. The show, which centers on Continental Studios, a made-up movie studio, and newly appointed head Matt Remick (played by Rogen), has received rave reviews in the days following its release on March 26.
Rogen, the lead actor, executive producer, and director, has helped create a show that has earned a 95% rating from Rotten Tomatoes early on and has also received multiple high marks from critics.
However, following the release of the first two episodes, Rogen admitted that one key aspect of the show's early stages nearly looked quite different (warning: spoilers are discussed ahead).
Rogen recently spoke about the show and was asked how they landed on making a film (in the show) about the Kool-Aid Man and if any other alternate options nearly won out.
As Rotten Tomatoes revealed, Rogen admitted the idea of a Jenga film was close to happening.
"It was Jenga for a little while," Rogen admitted. "There was an idea that like we were releasing a Jenga movie and then like a building collapsed and it resembled the Jenga."
"But then we came up with this idea for the Jonestown Kool-Aid thing, and once we had that sort of connection, it made it a really funny idea," Rogen explained.
It's an interesting and fairly big pivot in the show, but it seems that the idea of the Kool-Aid man has been well-received by many fans.
