Morgan Wallen Sends 5-Word Message After Abrupt 'SNL' Exit
Country star Morgan Wallen made a musical guest appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend to sing I'm the Problem from his upcoming album of the same name.
The March 29 appearance was his first since he appeared on the show in December 2019 - two months after being disinvited after "he was photographed kissing multiple college women and partying maskless in Alabama, breaking COVID-19 protocols in place at the time," People said.
This time around Wallen appears to have suffered yet another controversy, yet this one might be a bit more forgivable. After his guest appearance on the show, hosted by Best Actress award-winner Mikey Madison for her role in Anora, Wallen made an unconventional exit from the stage.
Following the conclusion of the show, Wallen stood next to Madison, who addressed the audience, “Thank you so much to Morgan Wallen. I had a wonderful time. Thank you all.”
After giving a brief wave to the crowd, the country star abruptly exited the stage directly in front of the camera while the rest of the crew exchanged pleasantries and congratulations for a completed episode. His only message since them came in the form of a five-word statement on his Instagram story.
"Get me to God's country," he said bluntly.

Earlier this year Wallen announced the upcoming release of his fourth studio album following his One Thing at a Time, which topped the Billboard 200 albums chart for 19 non-consecutive weeks and spawned seven No. 1 country singles.
He's set to kick off a brief tour that will hit 19 stadiums in 10 different cities including Cleveland, Houston, Seattle, Toronto and more.
