LeBron James, Cooper Flagg Photo Resurfaces Amid Duke's Final Four Run
As the 2025 NBA Playoffs draw near and teams jockey for position, the college basketball world also prepares to crown its national champion. The Final Four will get underway on Saturday, April 5, with the nation's four top teams squaring off.
While there's no shortage of storylines ahead of the two Final Four matchups, Auburn vs. Florida and Duke vs. Houston, one name remains at the center of the college hoops world.
Cooper Flagg.
The Duke Blue Devils freshman is widely expected to be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and after suffering an injury in the ACC tournament, has thrived throughout Duke's NCAA tournament run.
Flagg's stellar play and exciting NBA future led to the resurfacing of an old photo of the current Duke forward with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James from 2023.
The photo of James speaking with Flagg at a 2023 AAU tournament is earning the future Hall-of-Famer praise for his willingness to embrace the young up-and-coming talent in the NBA. This is something James has spoken about previously on numerous occasions.
As for Flagg, the 2025 ACC Player of the Year, his stellar freshman season became even more impressive when March rolled around. Flagg has averaged 18.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game this season, and through four NCAA tournament appearances, those numbers have jumped to 19.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists.
The 6-foot-9 freshman has shot 44.8 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from three-point range.
