'Gen V' Finally Gets a Major Update About Season 2
Gen V fans have been patiently waiting for news — any morsel of info — about Season 2 of the Amazon Prime series. Well, producer Eric Kripke finally gave an update about The Boys spinoff that sounds really promising.
Kripke posted on X on March 29 to deliver the good news. "Okay #GenV update! Eps are done editing, doing music, sound & VFX now," he wrote. "Finishing up the first trailer. Trailer drop & date announcement coming soon. (I think this season is better than S1 & will be worth the wait)."
While the news about Gen V has been quiet for some time, it looks like the trailer and premiere date are about to drop at any moment — so keep those eyes peeled on social media.

The second season was sadly delayed after the tragic death of Chance Perdomo (Andre Anderson) in a motorcycle accident in March 2024. The producers had to re-envision the show and figure out a way to proceed.
Once they figured out the storyline, the Gen V team released a statement in May 2024, per TV Line, "We won’t be recasting the role, because no one can replace Chance,” they wrote. “Instead, we have been taking the time and space to recraft our Season 2 storylines as we begin production in May. We will honor Chance and his legacy this season."
Kripke later revealed to the media outlet that the beloved character will be killed off the streaming series.
“First, it’s just so unbelievably tragic, and my heart goes out to his family. We’re not trying to replace him because we can’t. We’re playing the character’s death on the show," Kripke said in June 2024. "So, it’s very heavy and it’s really emotionally difficult for the cast. And we’re just trying to honor Chance as best we can.”
