Oklahoma Training Track to open to public in April
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The New York Racing Association (NYRA) is expanding public access to the Oklahoma Training Track at Saratoga Race Course. This year, the Whitney Viewing Stand will open to the public on April 19.
Licensed trainers and staff can access the Oklahoma barn area starting on April 15. In previous years, the Oklahoma Training Track and Whitney Viewing Stand were open to the public on weekends only before the start of the Saratoga summer meet.
The Whitney Viewing Stand will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. up until the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival on June 4 through 8. After the Belmont Stakes, the viewing stand will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. through Labor Day.
Anyone interested in accessing the Whitney Viewing Stand can access it using Gate 21 off of East Avenue. No vehicles are allowed on the property so participants will need to find parking outside of the track.
