Val Kilmer Seen in Social Media Video 5 Weeks Before His Death
The very last sighting of Val Kilmer may have been on February 23 when the Top Gun star posted a video of himself on Instagram.
The actor, who has died at the age of 65 after being diagnosed with pneumonia, appeared to be in good spirits as he put on his Batman mask one last time.
Kilmer was with musician David Choe when he recorded the video.
"I’m ready. I have an angle for us. It’s been a while," Kilmer said as he put the mask on.
"You look great," Choe replied.
Kilmer looked into the camera giving fans what ended up being one last look at him.
At the time Kilmer posted the video, fans commented on how great it was to see him and others recalled watching him in Batman — he played the Caped Crusader in Batman Forever in 1995.
Now, the comments section of the post has become a place where fans have left their condolences.
"Forever my Batman rest in peace," one person wrote.
"Rip you will be missed thank you for being my childhood hero love you batman," someone else said.
"I am heartbroken that you are no longer with us, Val. I pray you are resting in peace. Thank you so much for your art! You will be deeply, deeply missed," a third comment read.
