Antony Starr Sends Warning to Fans About 'The Boys' Series Finale
Through the first four seasons of The Boys, series creator Eric Kripke has managed to leave fans feeling a wildly broad range of emotions with each finale. With the fifth and final season on the horizon, the series finale will be no different.
Antony Starr, who plays Homelander in the popular Amazon Prime show, didn't reveal much, but he did offer a warning of sorts in the form of a mini-teaser.
During an interview with Collider's Steve Weintraub about his upcoming film, G20, Starr admitted that even he's left surprised when reading scripts for the finales and revealed this season's is no exception.

“But the scripts, I've got to say, in typical Boys fashion, I never see it coming with this show. Every time I think I know what's going to happen, something else happens. This was no exception, these last scripts," Starr said.
While Starr's character has been a force in the show since season one, he remained tight-lipped on whether things turn in season five, possibly leading to Homelander's downfall.
However, the 49-year-old actor stated that fans will be either "surprised or shocked" by how the final season of The Boys plays out.
“I'm six deep. I haven't seen the penultimate finale yet, but I know what happens, and I think fans are going to be either surprised or shocked, depending on their nervous system, but very, very entertained," Starr explained.
On Saturday, March 29, Kripke revealed on X that the show was halfway through filming and teased the spin-off for Vought Rising. The final season is expected to be released early in 2026, but no official announcement has been made thus far.
