Report details financial, management issues at Albany Airport Authority
COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- In a report obtained by NEWS10, an accounting firm detailed several financial and management issues at the Albany County Airport Authority it said occurred during the tenure of former CEO Phil Calderone.
The report was ordered by the Albany County Legislature after Calderone was let go from his position. It primarily focuses on procurement issues under Calderone and time and attendance for airport employees and contractors.
The board issued a three-page statement that said the report confirmed many of the concerns it had with Calderone's performance that prompted the decision not to renew his contract. It added that it would send the report to local and state authorities for further investigation.
