Arnold Schwarzenegger's 'FUBAR' Teases a 'Bananas' Season 2
Arnold Schwarzenegger is turning up the heat in Season 2 of Netflix's FUBAR. Fans favorite CIA operative, Luke Brunner, and his agents are dealing with the fallout of having their identities exposed and that leads to some serious consequences.
Luke will also have to deal with German spy Greta, an "old flame" and a "new adversary" played by the iconic Carrie-Anne Moss. The photos released by Netflix already show the palpable chemistry between the two action stars.
Moss is promising that she and Schwarzenegger will have some sort of dance moment during the season. “The first time that I met him was actually in a dance rehearsal,” she told Netflix's Tudum. “We just jumped in, and it was just so fun. He’s just a hoot. We got to know each other, rehearsing to start with, and then on the set, and then we’d run into each other at the gym and have breakfast. I mean, ‘fun’ is just the word that comes up all the time.”
Creator Nick Santora described the second season as "bananas" because they've come "up with some real fun surprises for FUBAR fans in Season 2, for sure.”
He's pumped about the unexpected duo of Moss and Schwarzenegger together. “They are icons,” Santora said proudly. “They know how to do action, be funny, and create full and engaging characters. So, it was great to just sit back and watch them do their thing.”
The writer is also promising that Luke's colorful cast of characters in his home and work life won't disappoint fans either.
“Well, as you know, to keep the gross analogy going, trying to clean up dog doo-doo can be messy," Santora added. "In life, when you're in a tough situation, the only way out is through - but luckily our team is able to go through it together. Whether the characters are blood relations (like Luke and Emma) or colleagues (like Aldon, Roo, Barry and Dr. Pfeffer) or former spouses/fiancees (like Tally, Donnie and Carter) or total weirdos (like the Great Dane and Norm) - they are family, and they know the only way they are going to survive is as a family working together. And they're going to have to do so if they don't want the world to end as we know it!”
The second season of FUBAR will premiere on Netflix on June 12.
