Annual 'Ready, Set, Glow Community Relay' returns for third year in Burnt Hills
BURNT HILLS, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The third annual "Ready, Set, Glow Community Relay" is set to return to the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School track tonight, Friday, April 4 at 5:30 p.m. The annual event raises money for STRIDE Adaptive Sports.
The community-focused relay challenge was started by Mia Malizia, a senior at Burnt Hills High School, to give back to STRIDE, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering those with disabilities through sports and recreation programs. The relay features teams running laps under the lights while participating in a glow-themed environment.
The event is open to all ages and abilities. The relay challenge will include a variety of activities, entertainment and opportunities to learn more about STRIDE.
All proceeds raised at the event will go directly to the non-profit. To register or donate, contact Malizia by email, miabm705@gmail.com or by calling 518-902-5312.
