Lucknow Super Giants set to host Mumbai Indians on April 4
The Rishabh Pant-led side is set t lock horns against the Mumbai Indians on April 4 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium. LSG have so far played 3 matches, out of which they have won once and lost twice.
LSG lost their previous match of the season
The Lucknow Super Giants lost their previous match at the Ekana Cricket Stadium against the Punjab Kings. The Shreyas Iyer-led side cruised to an eight-wicket victory as the Lucknow-based franchise were left stunned.
Pant hasn’t had a great start to the season
The wicketkeeper-batter, who was bought at the auction for a record fee of INR 27 crore and was later appointed as the LSG captain, hasn’t performed well with the bat in the first 3 matches of the season. Pant has only been able to score 17 runs in the tournament so far.
LSG receive major boost as Akash Deep joins the squad
The India seamer has joined the Lucknow Super Giants ahead of their clash against the Mumbai Indians. Akash is yet to play a match this season as he was recovering from a back injury that he sustained during the Border-Gavaskar series. His services were acquired by the Lucknow-based franchise for a whopping fee of INR 8 crore.
Pandya’s side is not in good form either
The Mumbai Indians have also won just one out of their first 3 matches of the season. The side led by Hardik Pandya won their previous match against the Kolkata Knight Riders by 8 wickets.
Mumbai Indians are missing the services of Jasprit Bumrah
The star pacer’s comeback has been delayed as he is still recovering from an injury that he sustained during the Border-Gavaskar series. Bumrah is unlikely to be available for the Mumbai-based franchise until the mid of April.
