President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan expressed concern at the first Central Asia-European Union summit in Samarkand on Friday, April 4. He stated that the international community has been downplaying the threats emerging from Afghanistan.
Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of cooperation between Central Asia and the European Union to tackle serious challenges such as terrorism, extremism, cybercrime, drug trafficking, and illegal migration.
The first Central Asia-European Union summit was held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, where President Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed various regional issues.
