Gal Gadot Does All Black in Spaghetti Strap Fringe Dress and Prada Logo Slingbacks for 2025 Breakthrough Prize Ceremony
Gal Gadot is sticking to Prada. The “Sleeping Beauty” actress was on the West coast on Saturday attending the annual Breakthrough Prize. There, she brushed shoulders with the likes of Gayle King, Lily Collins, Jodie Foster and Gwyneth Paltrow.
For her look, Gadot chose a dress from Prada. She wore a black spaghetti strap ensemble covered in strip-like fringe paillettes. Prada has designed similar dresses before. Most notably, Sarah Paulson wore a dress featuring the same embellishments in neon green to the world premiere of “Ocean’s 8” in 2018. The dress was a different silhouette. Gadot also wore a monochromatic fringe look — in white— when she received her Hollywood Walk of Fame star in March.
For shoes at the Breakthrough Prize ceremony, Gadot wore a Prada triangle patch slingback heel. The heel features a puffed up 3-D triangle Prada logo on the square cut vamp. The shoe features a sharply pointed toe. The upper is made of leather and has a thin slingback strap that features an elasticated panel. There is also a short, two-inch kitten heel.
Prada is still selling the triangle patch slingback heel in black for $1,200. The company has previously offered other variations of the design, sometimes with rubberized soles and inverted heels.
While slingbacks have been a constant on red carpets, Gadot choosing Prada isn’t extremely surprising. The performer was at the Prada fall 2025 show in February, just months ago. For that event she tried on the loafer trend, wearing a pair of glossy black leather Prada loafers. The menswear-inspired shoes matched a menswear-inspired look that included a boxy double breasted blazer.
The annual Breakthrough Prize ceremony is put on by the Breakthrough Prize Foundation. The organization honors scientists for their work in “gene editing, human diseases, the fundamental particles of the Universe and its underlying mathematical principles.” Some have referred to the event as the Oscars of Science. The six Breakthrough Prizes this year were $3 million each.
