Morgan Wallen Makes Stunning Country Music Admission
Morgan Wallen is one of the biggest country music stars on the planet.
The 31-year-old country music star rose to fame during season six of "The Voice" in 2014, when he was on Adam Levine's team. While Wallen was ultimately eliminated from the show, the experience was invaluable. He ended up launching his professional career and has gone on to become one of the biggest stars in all of music, selling out arenas and stadiums all over the globe.
However, Wallen has made a pretty surprising admission when it comes to country music.
The Tennessee native made the stunning admission while speaking to Theo Von on the comedian's "This Past Weekend" podcast.
Wallen, despite being one of the biggest country music stars in the world, says that he doesn't actually listen to much country music.
"I don’t listen to country music a whole lot. I think I’ve always kinda been that way. I know who Zach Top is, and I do agree he’s very solid," Wallen said on the podcast.
While it's a stunning admission, some country music fans do not seem to be surprised.
"If you make country music you probably get tired of listening to it," one fan wrote.
"We can tell he doesn’t listen to country music," another fan joked.
"He doesnt listen to country music, and he doesnt make country music," another fan added.
Wallen isn't alone in this admission. There are plenty of professional athletes who don't really watch their sport on television. Longtime MLB star Anthony Rendon went viral a couple of years ago when he admitted that he didn't really like baseball.
"It's never been a top priority for me," Rendon said about baseball. "This is a job. I do this to make a living. My faith, my family come first before this job. So if those things come before it, I'm leaving."
He previously stated that he didn't watch baseball because "it's too long and boring."
Clearly, Wallen doesn't need to listen to much country music to put out big hits.
