American Idol's Clay Aiken Makes Rare Appearance with Lookalike Son Parker for Broadway's 'BOOP!' Opening
Clay Aiken isn’t seen in public with his son Parker that often, but we have new photos of the father-son duo!
The 46-year-old former American Idol runner-up stepped out to support David Foster at the opening night of BOOP! The Musical on Saturday (April 5) at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York City.
Clay was joined on the red carpet by his 16-year-old son Parker Foster Aiken.
For those who don’t know, Clay welcomed his son with his longtime friend Jaymes Foster, who happens to be the sister of David Foster. They were never romantically involved, but decided to raise a child together and she got pregnant through in vitro fertilization. That makes David the uncle of Parker!
David wrote the music for BOOP! and is making his Broadway debut as a composer.
Clay said last year that Parker doesn’t want to pursue a music career. He told E! News, “He’s chosen a different path. He has something else he wants to do with his life. And I’m excited for him.”
In BOOP! The Musical, Betty’s dream of an ordinary day off from the super-celebrity in her black-and-white world leads to an extraordinary adventure of color, music, and finding love in New York City — one that reminds her and the world, “You are capable of amazing things.” Get your tickets now to see Boop! on Broadway.
