Over $120K raised for Epilepsy Foundation in Chocolate Gala
CASTLETON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern New York hosted its annual Confections in Chocolate Gala for Hope on March 29 at Birch Hill in Castleton-On-Hudson. Guests were able to enjoy an evening of activities and chocolate desserts from bakeries across the region.
Organizers said they were able to raise over $120,000 at this year's event. All proceeds will benefit the foundation and the services they provide to tens of thousands of epileptic patients each year in counties all across the Capital Region.
Of the $120,000 raised, $12,700 will go toward camp scholarships which help send kids with epilepsy to summer camp. With the funds raised, the foundation will be able to send 50 children living in northeastern New York to the summer camp of their choosing.
