TRM staff member in critical condition Wednesday after alleged attack
TOPEKA (KSNT) - The Topeka Rescue Mission (TRM) has issued an update Wednesday after one of its staff members was critically injured in an alleged attack last week.
The TRM posted to social media on April 9, reporting that its staff member who was injured on Friday, April 4, is still in critical but stable condition. TRM CEO La Manda Cunningham extended her thanks to those who have participated in the outpouring of support to her organization in the aftermath of the incident.
"As we move through this difficult time, we ask that you continue to keep our staff member who remains in critical but stable condition, our team, our guests, our volunteers, our unsheltered neighbors, and others involved in your prayers. Though this season of grief and uncertainty is challenging for our TRM family, we hold on to the truth that God still calls us—to serve, to love, and to be a light in the darkness and to spread the Gospel to everyone who crosses our path."
