Spring Week returning to Pittsfield for third year
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) — The city of Pittsfield will celebrate its third annual Spring Week later this month. From April 19 through April 27, there will be several free and low-cost events for children, adults and families to enjoy.
Organized by the Downtown Pittsfield, Inc., the week aims to bring the community together to celebrate spring. Several local businesses and organizations will host activities throughout the week, including the Berkshire Family YMCA, the Berkshire Athenaeum and WANDER Berkshires.

2025 Spring Week events
"Where's Winston" scavenger hunt, starts April 19
- A scavenger hunt for images of Officer Winston, the Pittsfield Police Department's comfort dog
- Located throughout downtown Pittsfield
- Game cards available at the Children's Library at the Berkshire Athenaeum at 1 Wendell Avenue
- Every image of Winston will include a unique word -- write the words on the inside of the Where's Winston? game card
- Bring your completed game card to Berkshire Athenaeum from April 19 through April 28 for prizes
- All children who submit a game card will be entered to win a Winston plushie, with each written word counting as one entry
79th Annual Eggstravaganza Egg Scramble, April 19
- Located at The Common at 100 First Street
- Various times depending on age group
- Free
Earth Day Costume Party with DJ Pup Daddy, April 19
- Located at Methuselah Bar and Lounge
- 9 p.m. through 12 a.m.
- Adults only
Children's Tea Party and Paint & Sip, April 22
- Located at WANDER Berkshires at 34 Depot Street, Suite 101
- 2 p.m. through 4 p.m., children are welcome to drop in anytime and must be accompanied by an adult
- Recommended for children ages 3 through 12; younger and older children still welcome
- Free, with all materials and instruction provided
- Free lemonade and cookies for children; coffee and tea available for purchase for adults
Spring Beach Party, April 23
- Located at Onota Lake
- 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Activities will include sandcastle building, outdoor lawn games, crafts with Berkshire Athenaeum, the Berkshire Museum's Mobile Museum Unit and more
- Family-friendly
Puppets & PJs, April 23

- Children will be able to build their own LEGO flower and add it to the Bottomless Bricks Community Garden
