Lawrence PD try to identify suspect who bit off part of man's finger
LAWRENCE (KSNT) — The Lawrence Police Department is asking the community to help find the person who allegedly bit off the tip of a man's pinky finger weeks ago.
Around 1 a.m. Sunday, March 29th near 7th Street and Massachusetts Street, police believe a person stole a bottle of liquor from a bar, then randomly attacked a man on the street and bit off the tip of the victim's pinky finger, according to a social media post from the Lawrence Police Department (LKPD) Wednesday.
A bar manager near the scene told officers that the suspect walked out of a bar with a bottle of Fireball, but eventually got it back. According to the LKPD, the suspect was running and bumped into a man walking. The man continued to walk, but the suspect attacked him from behind.
Police ask if anyone recognizes the suspect, contact the non-emergency dispatch or the hotline for Crime Stoppers of Lawrence and Douglas County.
