The French president stated, “We must move towards recognition, and thus, we will take steps in the coming months.” He also mentioned that the main objective is to host the conference in June, with Saudi Arabia’s participation, where the recognition of Palestine could be formally finalized by several countries at once.

Macron also recently visited the Egyptian port of Arish, a key base for delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. He described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as “intolerable” and stressed that resuming humanitarian aid to Gaza should be a priority.

Over 100 countries around the world have already recognized Palestine as an independent state and have called for a two-state solution to resolve the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. France, as a key player in European foreign policy, has consistently advocated for peace and a political solution to the conflict.
