Round Rock ISD says elementary student brought BB gun to school
AUSTIN (KXAN) — In a letter to parents Tuesday, Gattis Elementary School acknowledged a report that a student brought an unloaded BB gun to school.
According to the school, the report was investigated, and the BB gun was submitted to the administration.
“Students and staff were never in danger,” the school said.
Gattis Elementary School Principal Faezana Ali said parents should remind their children that bringing “any such items to campus, even toy weapons such as BB guns, violates the student code of conduct and can create a dangerous situation for our school.”
The school said it was thankful to the students who reported the incident.
“Remind your children that if they see something, please say something,” Ali said.
