Sweet, cuddly senior dog looking for her forever home
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) - Meet Maple! This sweet senior is currently available for adoption at the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center.
Maple is an 8-year-old German Shepard mix who has been at the shelter since January. Though she is super sweet, she also has a spunky personality and is very smart, according to shelter staff.
"She learns very quick and loves treats," behavior coordinator Becca Moser said. "She knows how to sit, she knows how to shake and she can also catch treats in the air."
Moser also mentioned Maple would be open to learning other tricks as well. She loves to play with toys, go on walks but will also relax and hang out on the couch with the perfect family. She would "soak up all of the attention," according to staff.
"We never like to see older dogs in the shelter, we have a soft spot for them," Moser said. "No dog should be in the shelter but especially not an older dog, so we would love to see her in a home."
If you are interested in Maple, you can meet with her at the shelter for a meet and greet at 4340 Tamarack Blvd. She is available for adoption or you can also foster to adopt.
