4/11/2025: Cool, cloudy, more rain & snow tonight
The latest Storm Tracker Forecast from meteorologist Matt Mackie:
A passing storm system brough some rain and snow overnight. Don't put a way the umbrellas or snow shovels just yet... another one is on the way!
A bit of a lull this afternoon, with clouds and only a few spotty, light snow showers remaining. Highs will peak in the upper 40's.
Tonight, especially after midnight, our next storm moves in from the south. It's a setup we've gotten used to as of late - rain and snow mix for the valleys, but more consistent accumulating snow in the higher terrain.
While we don't expect much more than a slushy coating in the Capital District, some in the Catskills and Berkshires could see 3 to 6 inches of fresh snowfall!
After sunrise, temperatures warm above freezing, and most of what remains is rain during the day Saturday. Expect highs in the 40's once again.
Sunday looks better, with breaks of sun, mainly dry conditions, and highs in the 50's. We'll be in the low 60's Monday, and it's still looking like the best day of the upcoming week.
Tuesday is still seasonable in terms of temperature, but a breeze will pick up and showers will develop. Cooler and breezy Wednesday, in the 40's. Then back to the 50's for Thursday.
